Week 41: Spiritual Wellness

  • It’s time to breathe. In and out and in again. Do it slowly and deliberately. Do this for at least 3 minutes.

  • Write down the persons, groups and places that have contributed to your spiritual wellness. Your spiritual wellness is about your relationship with God which is tied to your relationship with yourself, others and creations.

  • Take your time with this one. Do at least 5 minutes of silence/breathing before filling in more inform and completing more sentences.

 Week 42: Gift Economy

  • What if your worth is determined by how much you give away?

  • Have fun coloring the pictures and feel free to add more characters. Take a photo of your creation and post with #holycurrencies.

  • Read Chapter 3 and 38 of Holy Currencies Exchange to learn more about “gift economy.”

 Week 43: Money to Blessings

  • Finally, we are talking about money! I hope the activities and exercises that you have been doing had prepared you now for a full exploration of money and blessings.

  • Read Chapter 12 and 13 of Holy Currencies to learn more about holy currency of money.

  • Small Group: This is a good exercise to share with your small group. It helps participants to recapture the constructive use of money.

 Week 44: More Money to Blessings

  • This is any way of learning about the “worth” of money. Money by itself have no value until we exchange it. So your decision on how to exchange the money that you have is a choice and you can always choice to use money in exchange for blessings.

  • Small Group: It would fun to share this in your small group and see if you can pull your money to do something more significant.

  • Time to check in with your AP.

 Week 45: Minimum Wage Budget

  • A lot of math this week! Do the best you can in getting everyone in your house hold to collect all the receipts. If everyone in your household is doing this book, you can do this the exercise together.

  • The second half of this week’s exercise is for you to determine what you would spend your money on if you are living on a minimum wage budget. What would you cut from your weekly spending?

  • Giving the money your safe should also be a decision for your household. Share your reflections from that last two weeks about exchanging money for blessings.

 Week 46: What’s Enough?

  • Do some research on the concept of tithing. What happens if you set aside 10% of your income right off the back of your paycheck and exchange that for blessings for others? How might that affect your weekly or monthly budget? Would you still have enough to support you and your family’s well-being?

  • What does it mean to have enough?

 Week 47:  Pledge Card for Money

  • Answer the questions in the first page and you will have a better idea of how to complete the pledge card.

  • Color the pledge card and you will find the completion date that you need to fill in.

  • Find an Accountable Person for this pledge card. He/she can be the same AP you have been reporting to or the AP of the last pledge card but can be someone else. It would be fun to explain to the new AP what you are doing.

  • Make the pledge card unique and beautiful. Take a photo and send it to the person who oversees stewardship ministry in your community.

  • Small group: Gather your group, share experiences of the last few weeks and work on the pledge cards together. Remember to practice presenting the Respectful Communication Guidelines and use Mutual Invitation.

 Week 48:  Hold a Baby

  • It may not be Christmas this week but do Christmas anyway. I couple this baby exercise with a reflection on ecological wellness because if the earth is not well, no one is well. I think a baby may have a lot to say to us about this.

 Week 49: Pledge Card for Wellness

  • Complete the charts as best you can in the first page and you will have a better idea of how to complete the pledge card.

  • Color the pledge card and you will find the completion date that you need to fill in.

  • Find an Accountable Person for this pledge card. He/she can be the same AP you have been reporting to or the AP of the last pledge card but can be someone else. It would be fun to explain to the new AP what you are doing.

  • Make the pledge card unique and beautiful. Take a photo and send it to the person who oversees stewardship ministry in your community. If this person doesn’t know what it is, you will have the opportunity to explain to him/her what you (and your group) are doing.

  • Small group: Gather your group, share experiences of the last few weeks and work on the pledge cards together. Remember to practice presenting the Respectful Communication Guidelines and use Mutual Invitation.

 Week 50: Giving and Receiving

  • Take it easy this week. Just take your time completing as many of the sentences as you can. This exercise may help you recall the giving and receiving that you have done while acting on this book.

  • What do you notice? What do you wonder about?

  • Remember to share with your AP about this and other learnings and accomplishments this past year.

 Week 51: Thanksgiving

  • Really take time to do this week. Thanksgiving is about remember. So remember the blessings that you have received and make a promise to continue the flow of blessings.

 Week 52: Great Job!

  • Dance, jump, shout, sing, and/or put on a party! You have done it.

  • Then make a cycle of blessings plan for the coming year!
