Take Your Facilitation to the Next Level
Mondays from 11:00am–1:00pm Central (9:00–11:00am Pacific | 12:00–2:00pm Eastern),
June 1 – July 6, 2026
You’ve experienced the KI introductory course. You’ve seen what’s possible when a skilled facilitator creates space for real dialogue across difference. Now it’s time to go deeper.
Facilitator’s Academy is a six‑week intensive for people ready to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead KI processes with greater understanding, greater presence, and greater impact.
What to Expect
Over six weeks, you’ll meet online with a cohort of fellow learners for two hours each week. Together you will:
explore the theory behind KI’s core practices
try out facilitation skills with real‑time feedback
engage readings that deepen your understanding
prepare short presentations to strengthen your voice and presence
You’ll also have the opportunity to take the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) — a research‑based assessment used worldwide to measure intercultural competence. You’ll receive your own confidential results and develop an Intercultural Development Plan to guide your ongoing growth as a facilitator and intercultural leader.
What You’ll Be Working Toward
Facilitator’s Academy is built around KI’s Facilitator Competency Framework, which supports growth across three areas:
Curriculum & Background
Develop a richer understanding of the Cycle of Gospel Living and the “KI Way,” work with core KI practices like Conocimientos, Mutual Invitation, Kaleidoscope Bible/Text Sharing, and addressing Implicit Bias, and begin integrating concepts from key texts (The Wolf Shall Dwell with the Lamb, The Bush Was Blazing But Not Consumed, and Inclusion).
Facilitation Skills
Practice framing questions that invite genuine reflection, facilitating meaningful discussion across cultural difference, sharing leadership with co‑facilitators, managing group energy, listening with cultural humility, and communicating clearly in diverse settings.
Attitudes & Dispositions
Cultivate the openness to feedback and ongoing growth that marks every strong facilitator, and deepen your commitment to creating spaces where every voice is genuinely valued.
By the end of the course, participants will have made meaningful progress toward the Developing level across these competencies — the foundation for becoming a KI facilitator.

Tuition & Sliding Scale
Facilitator’s Academy is offered on a sliding scale of $0–$1,500 per participant.
It costs KI $10,000 to offer this course. We believe cost should never be the reason someone cannot develop as a facilitator, and we trust that those who have the means will give generously so that those who don’t can still show up fully.
Choose the amount that honestly reflects what you can contribute:
$0–$250 — Right for you if you simply don’t have financial resources now. We mean it: we want you here.
$500–$900 — Right for you if you can contribute something meaningful, even if not the full cost.
$1,150 — Right for you if you can cover the full cost of your seat.
$1,500 — Right for you if you have the means to pay it forward and help make a colleague’s participation possible.
Questions about tuition? Reach out — we’ll figure it out together.
