Gracious Invitation
“We spent all this time and energy to plan the event and yet, people don’t come.” This is a recurring comment from church groups that are struggling to get people from their congregations and to reach the neighborhood community. With all good intention to provide an inclusive event, many churches are puzzled by the low attendance of their event. As a result, many of these events were only attended by a few of the die-hard church members.
Writing a Gracious Invitation is a key part of the Kaleidoscope Institute gracious leadership training. A gracious invitation considers the potential “fears” that people have when receiving an invitation to a church event. The Gracious Invitation process helps the planners to find the language that will lessen the fear while being truthful to what the event is about.
By the end of our time together, you’ll have some tools and shared language for crafting invitations that feel authentic and welcoming, recognizing that each ministry has their own context.
This is part of our ongoing Gracious Leadership Series. No prerequisites or previous experience required. Join us!
A donation of any amount supports this work. Most people give between $5 and $50. If that’s not possible right now, no worries. Please just drop us an email at kscope@kscopeinstitute.org and we’ll get you registered.
